We just upgraded a vB 2.3.0 site that had a HEAVILY customized vBindex 2.0 installation on it. I'm going to need to build some custom modules for vBa like we had for vBi. It took a little deciphering to get up and running but overall the installation has gone pretty easily for vBa. You can take a look at the site. We've not even started customizing vBa yet... its pretty much out of the box. If you look at our forum page, you'll see what the style should look like when we get it rolled into vBa.

Here are a couple of pages that I'm working on that qualify as "not your average CMPS pages". They are both still in the development stage so not complete yet and may generate errors if I'm fooling around with it when you go there... if that happens, just wait a few minutes and try again.
http://pdaphonehome.com/?page=learn2 (the top block is pulling GARS articles... this will eventually be moved to my home page when its complete) http://pdaphonehome.com/?page=treo755p (this is a product page that shows specs for the product, images, links to other parts of the site, reviews, news, and recent threads) |

It is coming together, but I have a major CSS problem with Firefox ... its totally ignoring the style that I'm using for my specs table. Not sure why its happening, and I'm kind of a hack with CSS. The odd thing is that I "borrowed" the CSS for the table from another site that works fine in both FF and IE

With a little help from Brian, I now have all the device pages dynamically loading one single vBadvanced page... complete with the correct title, meta tags, etc. Check it out...
http://pdaphonehome.com/?page=info I just need to add some error logic to get it finished. |

Thanks... there are a lot of things I'd like to add and enhance, but I'm always struggling with keeping things "simple" and "clean"

it looks decent, informational, slightly diff from other sites. it's like a pet peeve of mine, but the only thing i can say bad about it would be on the vBa, the gap is too large between the left column and the center column, which isn't the same sized gap as on the other side. i personally dont like the style and would rather have a choice to change to a diff style, but at least it's easy to read. but like i said, it's decent and informational. keep it up.

Nice work I love the magazine style news module and would love to emulate it! Will you share the customized module code or possibly sell it?
