I need to be able to add several block to the portal for different information I need to display. How do I create a new block with whatever content I need...? thanks... |

1) In your Admincp - Styles & Templates - Style Manager - Add a new template called "adv_portal_yourname".
Insert your code into this template: 2) Still in your Admincp - vBa CMPS - Add Module - Module Title - Yourname - Module Identifier - Leave blank - OR Template to Include - yourname - Activate and select the column you want it in. - Save and you are done. |

Difference is the answers you get in this section won't help you much with vbadvanced homepage
Here is the vbadvanced section you should be posting your questions in: http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=4 |

OK thanks... still a little confused here though. I have managed to add a few modules to my portal homepage using what I think is CMPS... they all work fine. I have added Google, Flash Clock, plus an additional Custom Block that I am going to add some supporting links in.
What I don't understand is what is the difference between vBAdvanced and CMPS?? Sorry if this is a silly question, but as I said earlier - I have had the application istalled for me as part of the custom skin etc... |

CMPS is much easier to arrainge your modules on your portal, for one..
