Question Beginner question

I installed vBadvanced CMPS and I have it working.

What I am wanting to do is create a module on the left side that will display a rotating banner advertisement that is produced by software that is external to the cmps/forum system. This would involve inserting HTML.

I went into Add Module > BB Code

At that point, the advanced vBulletin editor has all of the little images missing - such as bold, italic, underline, etc. - all of those are missing (which is a separate issue to what I am asking but if I can get help on that too it would be great).

I just need to paste in some HTML into the text box it would seem, and then to make sure I allowed HTML in that option.

But, when I did that, it did not work. No such module appeared on my main page.

As far as the Module Shell Template Options, I do not know what to do there so any guidance here would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

Question Re: Beginner question

I fugured out why the images in the editor are missing.

It is looking for them as follows:

forum/admincp/images/editor/bold.gif

rather than:

forum/images/editor/bold.gif

How can I get it to look in forum/images rather than forum/admincp/images for those?

Thank you again.

first, if you going to need to insert HTML I wouldn't choose BB Code, in stead, I would of been using Template instead as this well let you use HTML code and not be limited with only BB Codes.

Second, to get those images to show up correctly, you just have to edit your style and choose "All Style Options" and either make all URLs that's calling for a path of an image folder or for an image to "http://www.yourname.com/forum/images/whatever" or to "/forums/images/whatever"

Okay, not sure I completely understand on either point.

First, I am playing with the templates but I have that messed up. I just need to find where this is clearly explained and I am looking now...

Second, those images are not missing anywhere except in the CMPS so I am not sure what you are saying that I need to edit. Image paths in the Style Manager are correct for those images.

Can anyone further advise me on this? It is looking for images in the wrong directory but it isn't on vBulletin. Where are the settings different?

Thank you.

Easy:

1) Create an HTML page with the banner code in it

2) Create a new HTML page instead a MODULE

3) Place that HTML page wherever you want

I'm a newbie too with this so it might not be entirely correct, but you'll figure it out

Well, I am trying to figure that out but my real problem right now is that it is looking for images in the wrong place and vBulletin does not have that problem.
