Default Form hack

Hi,

I'm trying to add this hack

to my forums (well, the off-line test forum before it goes live) and cannot suss it out

The install instruction states
Quote:
INSTALLATION

Easy - takes only a few minutes:

1. Add the 2 templates.

2. Edit form.php - the instructions are all inside the PHP file itself, in the top half. Follow the instructions carefully!

3. Upload form.php

Just link to form1.php eg. http://www.yourforum.com/forums/form.php

Done!
How/where do I install the templates?? Has anyone got this working on CMPS v2.1.0 and VB v3.5.4 ??

Anyone able to offer advice please?

Cheers,

Jim

Default Re: Form hack

First off what do you want to do with the form, and secong where do you want the link. Its not hard i use it for users to submit neas articles to my site, Http://www.thatsshocking.com the submit news link in the navigation menu takes you to that form and that in turn places the subsequent article into the news forum (after moderation).

Default Re: Form hack

I have the hack installed now, I was being silly in the install process

I do have a problem though, what I want to do is to have a forum where users can ONLY post via the form. I have edited the form as required, but when you click 'new thread' the normal template loads, not the form.

I can get the form by http://www.mysite.com/vbf/newthread.php?do=form and if I fill out the form, it posts the new thread as required.

Is there a way to make this by default, or should this be happening ?
