Default vBadvanced CMPS 2.2.0 (vB 3.6) Released!

vBadvanced CMPS v2.2.0 (works with vBulletin v3.6) is now available for public download here. For those wishing to upgrade or download for the first time, please follow the links to download the CMPS from the 'Programs / Scripts' link on the homepage here.

For those who are upgrading, simply download the new package, upload all files over your existing ones, point your browser to the cmps_install.php file that was uploaded to your admincp directory, and choose the option to upgrade.

Enjoy!

Thanks! Even though I converted 2.1 to work with my forum, it's nice to see an official release

Will the upgrade work before VB3.6 is installed?

Some coding has changed with the vBulletin vB 3.5.x to vB 3.6.x releases and the new CMPS 2.2.0 is targetted specifically for the new release.

When you go to the download page you'll still see both versions, 3.5.x and 3.6.x, so you can still use it with vB 3.5.4 with no problems. When the time comes for you to upgrade to vB 3.6.x then the CMPS upgrade will only take a few minutes to download the new package, upload them to your server, and then run the install script to upgrade.

Thank you... So there is no point in upgrading till a stable Vb3-6 is released.
Can I install the new version of Vbadvanced into a seperate folder (not in the root) & point it at a test forum?

Correct, version 2.2.0 is for compatibility purposes only, not to introduce any new features.

Sure. Inside of the 'cmps_index.php' (which you can name just about anything you want) you need to set a variable as to where your forum resides. Just point it to your vB 3.6.x test forums. Just remember to upload the files to your vB 3.6.x folder and not your live 3.5.x folder.

Question Re: vBadvanced CMPS 2.2.0 (vB 3.6) Released!

I just installed version 2.2.0 on vB 3.6, and the footer still says
"Powered by vBadvanced CMPS v2.1.0"

see here http://www.microsoftforums.org/

Did you have CMPS previously installed on that site before the vB 3.6.x upgrade? If so, then when you upgraded to CMPS 2.2.0 did you make sure all of the files were over-written? ... and you ran the install script and chose the Upgrade option?

Hmm... I just overwrote all my old CMPS files, changed the forumpath in cmps_index.php, ran the upgrade from the script file and now I'm getting:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: print_portal_output() in /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/cmps_index.php on line 44

Any ideas?

I fixed it, i re-ran the install script, and choose upgrade, and it fixed the version number. But for some reason, it don't change the version number during a clean install..??

Brian might have skipped something in the install script, can you replicate it.
