Just wonder if vbaLinks works with Vbulletin 3.6. I'm looking for a easy way to list links on my site by category.
I'm looking for an easy alternative to Links and Download Manager (LDM) on vbulletin.org since I don't need all of those features. Thanks Kevin Last edited by kmorris; 08-09-2006 at 05:43 PM. |

A few members have modified their vBa Links to work with 3.6 but an official release has yet to come.

I see the official one is out but I am not going to buy it yet because I can't read the posts in this forum about problems people are having.

Esology,
If you have a specific question about vBa Links prior to purchase you can post in the pre-sales question but the full support forums are, of course, only available to actual customers. |

I can't afford to install something on my site and have it broke for a day or two waiting for a response. Now if I could see the problems being answered or solved I would have a comfort level when it comes to buying and installing.

Well, I never even knew it wouldn't work with 3.6 as the requirements say 'vBulletin 3.0.0 or higher. MySQL 3.23 or higher is recommended.'
So I went ahead and done a fresh install onto vb 3.6 and it worked fine. The only mod I've done to the code is to add the menus down the side. http://www.deadmen.co.uk/links/

That is good to know... I have a license and I have been dying to get this installed but ONLY if she will work with 3.6.
I may just roll the dice but it makes me real nervous... |

Can I assume that the latest release, 2.0 RC1, does work okay with vB 3.6.2?

Yes, it was designed for vB 3.6.x and currently does not work with any lower versions.

Okay. I intend to keep my vBulletins up-to-date, will vbalinks be kept up-to-date so that it will continue to work and nothing gets broken in new releases of vB?

I agree. Why are you closing the support forums to those who might consider buying this software? That suggests you have something to hide.

We keep those closed to ensure that only valid license holders are able to view those forums. You should still easily be able to see that all troubleshooting or "how do I" question threads have been replied to and resloved though, mostly by myself.
