Default vBadvanced beginner questions

Hello NG,

I am looking around for a kind of CMS to combine a vBulletin and static content. vBadvanced seems to be very interesting, but a few questions are still open.

1.) I already have lots of static content which should be integrated in the new webpage. Is it possible to create static pages with vBadvanced like in a CMS as Joomla.

2.) Are there SubPages of static content possible?

3.) Is there the ability to create a User Navigation with submenus, like:

Review
-> Hardware
-> Software

4.) I am still running a webpage and want to create the new one directly on the server in a sub directory to prevent stopping the actual page. Is it possible to copy the new webpage after finishing to the main directory and change some directories in config files to run the page from the main directory. For example.

Creation of the new page under:
www.my-url.de/new

Copying the finished new page to:
www.my-url.de

Is this possible by just changing some diretories in any configuration?

5.) What is about search engine friendly urls? Does vBadvanced has an functions for this?

Thanks a lot for your help and answers.

Best regards,
Michael

Default Re: vBadvanced beginner questions

1). Yes. You can add as many new pages as you'd like, and there are options to specify vB templates, or even HTML and PHP files on your server as the content for those pages.

2). I assume you mean somewhat of a hierarchy list? If so, yes.

3). Yes. There is a "Site Navigation" module which can be enabled that will link to and display the pages you have added.

4). That should only be a matter of moving one file once you're ready.

5). No. There *may* be some SEO products that will also work with the CMPS, but I'm not sure which (if any) do.
