Default Search Engine

What if...

You created a search engine, so you can also search your pages and not just your forum.. I know you have google search engine that will search your site but that just sucks to be blunt..

So why not created a search engine that will search your site pages..

Because I plan to use it for a article set up, because I think the other article systems are not that great.. like Johns would be okay, except his looks like a forum, and I know my members would get extremly confused on when to post an artcile to when to post just a post.. ya know?

But I think it would be really nice if there was a search engine that would search the pages and not only the forum.. so like lets say.. you have either a completly new search page or even use the current one and have an option to just search the pages and not the forum it's self...

Maybe like create it's own search modual or something and it will search all the templates with the prefix 'adv_portal'

I don't know how tough this would be, or if anyone other then me would find it useful, but I think it would be great!

There are site seach engines out there. You can find a lot at: www.hotscripts.com and type in "search engine" as a keyword to search for.

The problem is, the good ones are very hard to find. PicoSearch.com is a decent one. You can use their basic one for free...but the better ones charge a fee.
