I would be very interested in testing this out if the users could edit their time stamp so that they could change the order of there blogs if they needed to.

Is there any chance this could be added to this feature?

Yes that's it, but user selectible images, not just the latest X images.

Anything that's not directly from vBulletin (users, templates, phrases, etc) is stored in it's own table, so MySQL should be able to handle things without a problem.

Brian:

Regarding the multiple instance license, I'm curious to find out how this works. For example, is the multiple instance license needed when you need more than one instance of blogicles files? Is this needed if you mod-alias/mod-rewrite for blogicle?

Applied for beta also. I'd like to see a way to assign topic icons to blog posts.

Question Questions

A few questions...

1. If I am using GARS (http://www.thevbgeek.com), why should I switch to this for articles?

2. What are the differences between this and vBlogetin (http://www.vblogetin.com)?

3. I use a vBa CMPS sidebar on my whole site. I don't want to have two left columns. Can I put the Blogicles blocks on the right side?

Also, I would love to see some integration between this and Zoints Local. I have already decided on Zoints, I would love to deactivate the Zoints blog and integrate this one into it.

Just amazing, nice work Brian. I cannot wait to see the final product of this. And, I would sign up to be a beta tester, but my hosting ends in April, and I'm on a trial license for vB, so not exactly the best moments. Anyway, nice project, and I cannot wait to see what comes of it!

Looks like a nice product. But I can't see me paying to test your product. That makes no sense, sorry

Looks interesting. I already have recently purchased GARS from thevbgeek because I heard it was the best and only cost $19.95. I see it as your only real competition, since it has a lot of great features that are very similar.

I've taken a look at the demo sites, I like where this is headed, but I don't want to have to pay $30+ to test a buggy version of it. If it was free to demo then I'd be sure to give it a try, but it looks like I'll be waiting a little while till the public release ... I value my opinions and the time it takes to fully test a product and report bugs, spending hours of my time... as enough to pay for the product. So... having to pay to beta test something and provide you with not only my money, but my time to throughly test it as well... just doesn't make sense to me.

If you're planning on charging more than $40+ for this, I think thats an issue since GARS is only $20 and though it may not be a 'blogging' system par-say... it is sure a good articles/reviews system. Just my two cents!

Nonetheless, keep up the great work with your products VBA!

The title "Looking for Beta Testers!" might be a little misleading... a more apt title thread might be "Blogicles beta available in limited quantities at a deep discount." It's the same model used when vBa Links was released and before that vBa Gallery. Essentially if somebody is in the market for a blog/articles/open-ended product and want to get in on the ground floor at a heavily discounted priced then now is the time.

Taking into account that none of vBadvanced products are encrypted and that all of them are 100% viewable source then it would be an extremely bad business move to allow the beta versions of the commercials products to be distributed for free.

You have it backwards. You're buying a license at a discount so you are not 'paying to test' you being PAID to test (by virtue of a discount).

You got it wrong. I don't want this into an argument. I pay no one to test. Anyone who has been around as long as I have doing this knows the difference. Thanks anyway. My time is valuable. I don't debug your work so you make money off of it and a charge to me. If I help build the house I either live in it or I get paid for it. I don't rent it.

Besides. Your a member not the coder so please turn this thread back over to the rightful owner.
