Question 301 Redirect

I have multiple domain names for my forum. I want to use a 301 redirect so that it doesn't mess with my Google rank. Right now I have this in my .htaccess file:

redirect 301 http://www.seconddomain.com/ http://www.maindomain.com/

It works until someone tries to login. When they try to login on my CMPS homepage it says they're logged in and then returns them to the CMPS homepage but they are not logged in.

I have noticed that when they login it takes them to www.maindomain.com/forum/login.php?do=login --- but when they are returned after logging in they are back at www.seconddomain.com's CMPS page.

Anyone have any experience with this or can possible offer any assistance? I would really appreciate it. THANKS!

Default Re: 301 Redirect

Can you post links to the actual domains you are having a problem with?
