I've noticed twice now that words with quotations show up incorrectly in the Recent Threads module. I've had a few thread titles with quotation marks and they always show up "Word" instead of "Word"
I believe this is because I have the title set to cut off after a certain amount of characters. This is the same issue that happens with the "Read More" link in the News module (cutting off in the middle of HTML) and I strongly suggest trying to at least incorporate an option to "Ignore HTML markup in Max Characters" for those of us who are really bothered with this. I suggested this for the News module over in the Suggestions thread and Brian had told me it was probably too much work, though. So is there any other way to keep words from cutting off in the middle of HTML in the threads module? Thanks |

Is it actually showing the full """ tag in the titles, or is the tag missing the ending ';' mark? If it is missing that, then it sounds like you may just have your "Maximum Characters of Each Word" setting set too low.
There are still a few cases where the news could be cut off prematurely. We're using a different method for similar functions in vBa Blogicles that seems to be working much better though and will be included with the next CMPS release. |
