Default edit modules

my edit modules area doesnt seam to work.

I go into edit modules and move a item from left center or right or make inactive or anything and nothing seams to happen on the home page. It acts like it did the job cause no errors come up but nothing changes and I refresh the page and even clear my cache and nothing is changed.

also my email sending feature doesnt work, where do I set up email smtp thingies

Are you perhaps running the homepage too or something? Can you give me a link to your site?

I am on an intranet with this site. You cant see it, but the modules can be created but not added to the site homepage or anything, its like it just dont work.
For example I made the search field in my right column inactive and on my home page its active.

About the only other thing I can think of is that you're pulling from cache. If that's not the case and you would like to fill out a support ticket via the member's area here I'll be glad to take a look.
