Default Login Problems

Hi all,

i did move my page to a new provider... import all data via Impex into vB and install again vBadvanced.

All seems to be ok... but there is one problem. I cant login over the index.php page of vBadvanced. There is no problem if i go into the forum and login there... but...

If i login over the vBadvanced startpage, there comes the "successful login page" with the redirection,... after the redirection, im not logged in

Any idea ?

If it will be helpful, i can post the link to my page (is this allowed to link the page here ?).

If you have your Cookie Path setting to '/forums' then cookies are only going to work when you're in your /forums folder.

What if you have two domains pointed to the same forum?

Cookies are applied according to the domain, so there's not really going to be an easy way to allow both.

So I guess I can only choose one of the two domains, right?

I tried to resolve this with the URL above, but I still get prompted with the login after I login on the vba index AND in my photo gallery. But when I go to the forum, it is fine and I says I am logged in. WTH is going on?

What do you have set for your 'Cookie Domain' and 'Path to Save Cookies' settings?

Did you make sure to close your browser and clear your cookies after each change? As long as the cookie path is set to '/', one combination of the cookie domain (blank or .yoursite.com) should work.
