urgent problem with "is_member_of($bbuserinfo[usergroupid]

I tried to use in an template:

<if condition="is_member_of($bbuserinfo[usergroupid] == 3)">

I can`t save it anyway ! I always get nothing after "save". Just the blue backround....

If I use

<if condition="$bbuserinfo[usergroupid] == 3)">

I can save - but it don`t work !!

Any ideas ??

Thanks in advance - it`s really important for me to get it work....
I have several usergroups und need to place there an info about the status of everyones groups.... (active / no member)
