RecentThreads used as RSS forum

I have an RSS feed that posts articles to a forum. I use the recentthreads module to display this feed on the front page (it looks at that forum and displays the posts).

I want the title to link to the external article instead of the thread where it's posted (in the hidden forum).

I found the code in the template that's taking it to the showthread.php, but wasn't sure how to tell it to go to the rss url...

Any ideas?

You could change the link to something like this:

external.php?type=RSS2&forumids=X

(replace the X at the end with the forumid)

I tried that and it didn't do anything. How does that tell it the URL of the article? The feed is on the bottom left of this page..

I want the link to link to the article (which usually comes from baylorsports.com) instead of the post it was posted to in the forums.

I'm sorry, I must have read over your post too quickly. As far as I'm aware though, the URL for the article isn't really stored anywhere, so there's not going to be an easy way to do that.

Take a look at this thread. Using this instead of the built-in RSS capability should allow you to do what you want.

While developed a while back it works fine with the current versions of vb and vBa.
