Default Spider Friendly / SEO URL's Not Working?

Hi everyone,

I've got a customized vBulletin with vBSEO (3.0.0 Build "D" Ioncube) running, and I disabled vBSEO on my /dyna directory. I uploaded the .htaccess to the /dyna directory, and then enabled Spider Friendly URLs, but the nice URL's return a 404 error when clicked. Any thoughts as to why this would be happening?

Thanks!

I tried to take a look at your site, but I can't seem to find where you have vBa Dynamics installed. There's not anything I can think of that would affect the SEO URL's though as long as you uploaded the .htaccess file, so would you mind just submitting a support ticket so I can have a look at things?

Question Re: Spider Friendly / SEO URL's Not Working?

Hey Brian,

I don't see the .htaccess file in the download for some reason.

It's in the 'Extras (do not upload)' folder.

This is a Mac thing. No hrmfph from ya Brian

Editing files that begin with dots can mess things up so they are hidden by default within the finder. I don't have a problem seeing them within my ftp (GoLive) or of course on the external server, but if you want to check out all these hidden files on a Mac's regular finder windows enter this in your Terminal:

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE

killall Finder

This is just one way.

Ahh, thanks for sharing that. I'm sure there's another Mac user somewhere out there that would have had that problem, and I wouldn't have had a clue what to tell them.
