Default Generic Lists Question

Hey Brian,

Do we need to create a template in order for the Generic Lists Module to work? The write-up suggests that I (or a user) can use this module to create lists...but I don't see how unless I create a template as the admin.

What am I missing? (Besides my glasses.)

Thanks!

To use it, you would just need to edit the layout for one of your pages through the user side to add it to one of your columns, and then click the "Edit" image for the module to add/edit items.

I have the module on my page - but I don't have anyway to edit it - that is - there is no "edit" image for the module.

I'm either missing something or CMPS is too ingrained into my head.

When you have the module active on one of your pages and you click the 'Edit Modules On This Page', you should then see a new 'Controls' bar above each module. Within that bar, you should see this image () that will allow you to edit the module and add items to the list.

Thanks Brian, I now see that I can do these edits on any page but the main index.php page. That's where I was getting stuck.

Ahhh... Yea, that module is dependant on having a userid passed to it (either from browsing a members' category, or viewing an entry), so it would not work on the main index page.
