Navbar missing

Hi

I have just taken over administration of a forum (www.ausphotography.net.au).

The navbar and footer are missing from the homepage for the skin that is set to default. If i chose the basic (vbulletin) skin, they are there.

i went into CMPS and have checked that navbar is set to YES, but does this apply to all skins? or just the one that i am set to?

Any ideas?

PS- this is the first time i have run a forum so my knowledge is limited (but i am learning)

Sounds like the $navbar and $footer variables may have been removed from the 'adv_portal' template in that style.

Now as im a newbie, how and where do i put them back in there ( i should be able to find them in the basic vbulletiin skin, so can I just cut n paste em to the same location in the skin header and footer sections.

actually, having had a look, i think this is beyond me at this stage, so i will probably see if i can find an expert who i can pay to resolve this for me.

Anyone interested in some paid work, doing the above change to my site?
