Hello Brian,
I know that with the Multiple Instance License in Dynamics, you can rename instances AFTER the first instance to unique names so that you can differentiate between them. I'm wondering if I can add one more instance than I need, so that I can use custom names with ALL of my instances, then delete the first instance which by default is called "vBa Dynamics". This way it will be cleaner and easier for me to remember which instance is which in my control panel. Will this work or will it cause problems? Thanks! Jeff |

You could... Or you could just search your phrases in the Admin CP for 'vBadvanced Dynamics' and then translate that phrase instead.

Hello Brian,
Ok, I chose the route of adding an extra instance for my "articles" category and then deleting the original "Dynamics" instance. Only I'm not sure how now. I got everything moved to the "Articles" section fine. When I use the installer to delete the original instance, I don't see that as an option. I see the option to delete any of my secondary instances, or to delete Dynamics as a whole, where it says it will remove every change made by dynamics and restore my vB to its condition prior to installing dynamics (or something like that). So how do I remove the primary "Dynamics" instance without deleting my secondary instances? I just don't want to screw-up and delete it all. That's definately NOT my goal! Thanks! Jeff |

I am playing with dynamics now. You can delete the first instance by choosing it from the main install screen(see my attachment).
It does not uninstall other instance. |

Cool! Thanks for the screen shot and the reply.
I checked that originally, but then it went to a screen that said that it would totally remove dynamics and I was afraid that it would delete the secondary instances as well. So you are SURE that it won't delete the secondary instances? Thanks again! Jeff |

Yeah, I am testing it now. I have deleted and reinstalled it many time. However, pleaese backup your database before doing anything.
Thank you for your PM. |
