Link causes automatic logout.

Hi folks,

I put a link in my navbar to my links, like this http://MYURL.com/links.

While this link works fine if I have logged in with the "remember me" box checked, if I log in without that, clicking on the link to my vBA Links causes me to get logged out within Links. If I return to the vB forum (http://MYURL.com/forum) I am logged in again.

I tried changing the URL to http://MYURL.com/links/index.php?$session[sessionurl] but that has no effect at all.

Any idea as to what's happening and how to fix this?

Does it make any difference if you visit www.yoursite.com/links vs. yoursite.com/links? Which version of vB are you running?

I'm having the same issue I supposed, when I go through my forum home page, select it from my navbar, then start selecting a category, and view the links detail... if i select the link/directory homepage via the link shown in the screenshot below, i'm logged out. But as he mentioned, if i go back to my forums homepage, i'm shown as logged in:

my links link didn't have www on it.

so the browser saw it as a different site, different session, etc.

stupid problem that I should have caught.

my links, link, within the forum header has the www. prefix, but i'm having the same issue. Any suggestions?
