Default Problem with "upgrade"

alright. i just upgraded my forums from 3.5.7 to 3.6.8. i downloaded the latest version of VBA to use with my forums. followed all of the instructions to upgrade and now the script is continually asking for me to log onto my admincp.

doesn't matter what option i choose from the list, the result is the same. a looping request to log in.

what is going on and how do i fix it?
