Specific threads not saving in NEWS and RECENT THREADS modules

I have a fresh installed vb and also fresh installed vbadvanced and I have the same problem in news and recent threads modules;

I can set specific forums to pull threads from, that works fine. But when I put specific threads through the "edit threads" option, they are not saved, and latest threads/news from the selected forums keep coming up.

I have not encountered this issue in any other of my 3 vb installations until now. Maybe a conflict with latest vb version (3.7.2) ?

Which version of the CMPS are you running? Are you trying to modify the threads through the Modify Settings link, when editing the module, or by editing the settings on a specific CMPS page?

I'm running v3.0.1 and I tried editing the threads both from withing the module edit menu and the page edit.

Any ideas?

Note: The threads I select are actually saved in the module edit menu (both in module edit and page edit menus actually), but are not displayed in the actual vbadvanced page.

Ok I found the problem, there was some weird conflict with the language file I imported for use, it had some phrases in diferrent encoding. Once I removed the language and re-installed vbadvanced everything looks fine.
