It was up just 2 days ago, I assume it is something simple and will be up soon.

I'll try back in a couple of days.

before anybody asks, I will not give my copy to anyone. I can not release his work any more then I would the software I download here without prior permission.

Hopefully he will be back up soon.

tomshawk,

Great stuff.... Thank you for sharing!!

I do like many others have a small problem.
I am not sure if it is the carp install or a path?
Code:
[CaRP] Connection refused (111)
Anyone else seen this error?

Thanks,

dreck

Me too! Only on some feeds. I wrote to carp to ask if they knew why, but they couldn't figure it out either. I get the World BBC News ok, and Slashdot too. I also included feeds for my Articles and my Forums, but a lot of others I tried I got the same message - [CaRP] Connection refused (111)[/CODE] ???

One clue might be that some sites require you to sign up for Feeds??? I think it's that way for the New York Times, but I haven't tried them yet, although I don't know why they would want to block a feed.

I have a Feed Reader on my Desktop and in my Browser, and I tried some various feeds with it. It picked them up with no problems, but would not work with Carp. Get the same message - "Connection refused"

?????

Sorry Everyone, I have been extremely busy the last week or so.

I decided to start my own business, and that has had all my time.

Check it out when you get a chance

anyway, I think you guys may be right about the user name and password. I'll test it and try to let you know before the end of the weekend.

the default newsfeed font works good on my light skins, but almost unreadable on my darker skins. is there a way to dynamically change them depending on the skin?

Great hack. Works well, but tooks some screwing around to find the right paths.

I wonder if the instructions should just be standardized and made clearer (e.g. it was not clear that a new directory should be made for feeds, nor where that directory should be).

Nevermind... fixed it. Now to try and get it to parse HTML within the feed and create some style.
