Default Edit Module - Custom Page Content

I click on "edit module" and then see modules such as "Custom Page Content" But Where do I control what shows up on this module.

The news module lets me control content from a forum but no such thing with this module.

Sorry, read the manuel and I don't see it.

Also a stickey does not make a news item show up on top.

When you add a new page, if you enter a template for the 'Template to Include' option, your 'Custom Page Content' module will display the contents of that template.

Thanks. It not a new page. It is the "Custom Page Content" module that is already there. It is by defalut in the "Center Column" where News and News Archive is.

What is its purpose then? Unlike the options available to the NEWS module none exist for "Custom Page Content" module.

I'd like another NEWS type of content where I can select another thread to display for example.

I did not add it, it was there by default.

As Admin I'd expect a different response then "re read my first post"
Sometimes it is better to not respond then to respond at all ?!?!

If I understood it I would not be asking AND providing more information.

I am NOT adding a new page. The option is there to include this Module but when you edit this module there is also no option to include a template.

I do not think that mod ever worked. But if you RTFM,
It will tell you how to add New Modules. It may also be in the forums here.
I just made it (Inactive) and created my own.

I really don't know how I can explain it more clearly than I already have. You asked what the purpose of the 'Custom Page Content' module is. It displays the content of whatever template name you enter into the 'Page Template' option when adding a new page. If that setting is left blank on a page then the module does nothing.

The description of the 'Page Template' option:
This is the template that will replace your "Custom Page Content" module. If you don't wish to have a custom template on this page, simply leave this field blank.
