I'm asking for this specifically for vBA, but it's relevant for any product that interfaces with vB.
Could you please include an md5_sums file with each new version of your modules so that the 'Suspect Files' diagnostic doesn't complain about your module files? It's dead easy to do and so I'm wondering why so few people do it already. I really love that diag because it does a good job of telling me: a) if someone has gone and changed one of the source files on my board (which I do a lot) b) tells me which files have been modded so I know which files to re-hack at upgrade time. I'm attaching a bash script to generate the md5sums and a sample output file that's generated. If you use 3.0.1 and put my md5_sum file into your vB 'includes' directory, all of those stupid 'file not recognized' errors will go away. Also, I've filed a request with vB to add logic in there to allow other developers to use a standard string in the header to take advantage of the file version checking code as well (see: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1646830) Cheers, Dave. PS - Yes, the bash script is a dirty hack and could have been done in php, but it was fast to write.
