1). Try enabling/disabling the CMPS through the 'Manage Products' link in your Admin CP and see if that kicks it in.
2). Disable any plugins you have that adds HTML around usernames. |

Did you try disabling it and then re-enabling it as suggested above?

Yes Brian, Thanks. The problem was the path to the cmps file in my default settings. Thanks!

I have installed vba on vBulletin 3.7.3 and the majority of it looks ok but when I run the diagnostics I get the following:
vBadvanced CMPS is disabled in your vBulletin Installed Products section. Under the vBadvanced CMPS dropdown menu, in the Installed Products, I see Edit, Disable, Export and Uninstall. I don't see anything that says "Enable". If I select Edit, I'm not sure what, if anything, needs to be edited. What needs to go in here? Do I have to fill in the "Product URL" and the "Version Check URL"? If so, where do I find these? Funny thing is that when I go to my site, the vba is displayed ok. I just don't know what that error is and what affect it may have. Thanks

Select Disable, then go back and select Enable.

Same here. No listing for vBadvanced in the installed products list.

Did you guys run the install file? If that was run then the CMPS product data should have been added.

I've had vBa installed for years. The error message popped up after one of the later upgrades. I did a reinstall this summer but it didn't solve the issue. But it's not a big deal to me - I have no idea where the product listing went, but vBa works fine without a hitch.

I am not seeing the CMPS group within Admin CP either. I have vbulletin 3.8.3 and vBadvanced CMPS 3.0.1. Just inherited this site, so new to the whole experience. I can see the vba_cmps_admin.php file within the forums/admincp directory.
The site appears to be using CMPS (templates are being called). However, the ability to administer it is gone. If I disable it, will that cause the site to stop working? Or is it just the admincp plug-in that is being disabled. Don't want to break everything. |

If you're not seeing the vBa CMPS menu group in your Admin CP then the forum/includes/xml/cpnav_vbacmps.xml file is probably missing from your server. If you download the same version of the CMPS you're running from the Members' Area here and upload that file to the same folder on your server then you should see the menu afterward.

Did you refresh your browser window after uploading the file? As long as that file is uploaded then there shouldn't be any reason you wouldn't see the CMPS menu in your Admin CP after refreshing the window.

After checking the whole site, I realized that there are some other mods cant show its setting normally in ACP!And some hours ago, I unintentionally knew why some mod cant show their setting in ACP and also cant work after my backup...
It's chmod problem! My site's just been hacked, then I chmod all file to 404, and the mod cant execute the hook...Now I change necessary files to higher chmod and everething is fine! Thank for your reply, Brian! |

Hi, I am getting this error in the "Diagnostics" section as well.
The only problem is, vBadvanced CMPS is not listed as a Product under "Manage Products". I have the vBulletin CMS enabled as I am preparing to replace it with vBadvanced CMPS, could that be a problem? I have tried reinstalling plugins from the install script but that doesn't help. Any ideas? Can I add it manually? I am running vB 4.1.0 PL4. Oh, I should probably add that I upgraded to vB 4.1.0 around 10 months ago. Before that I was running vB 3.6.12 and an earlier version of vBadvanced. So I did an upgrade rather than an install as the install script detected the old installation.
