Branding free

Hi guys. How do I remove the "powered by" verbiage for vbadvanced and/or dynamics? I've purchased the branding free option for both. I figured there would be a different file to download, but no such luck. Please advise. Thanks.

The easiest way is to download both products from here again, upload the install files for each to your admincp folder, then go to the install file in your browser and select the option to re-install the phrases.

Just to confirm (i just upgraded to branding free) ... I just need to upload the install file again (not all files) and do the re-install for phrases?

Hey Brian,

I just purchased Branding Free, and don't really want to run an upgrade script... for one because I've modified a LOT of phrases in my Links Directory. Can I either just edit a phrase manually, or simply remove the entire chunk of code in the footer, or... ?

Reinstalling your phrases with the install file will not remove any of your custom phrases. The exact same code to update phrases is run every time you upgrade to a new version as well, and it only affects the master phrase group. If you would rather just edit the phrase or template through your Admin CP though, that is of course fine as well.
