Default [Request]importing links

I downloaded this free script

http://www.onlinemarketingtoday.com/...nk-management/

can someone use the code in there to import whole categories and links from the DMOZ and adapt it with vblinks? That would give us a huge headstart.

I used to use WSNLinks, and it had a way to imprt a DMOZ directory using the output from http://ostermiller.org/tulipchain/...

It worked well, but you had to choose a smaller directory not to overload it...

Has anyone created a script to import any format of links into VBa Links?

One more tool that I used to use was this one (import.php)...

This worked by typing in a URL, then it would go through the html page, and strip the links and directly import them into WSNLinks...

I think could work here on VBa Links - but would need modification to put results into the correct database tables...

Anyone feel up to it?

I keep searching the key words IMPORT LINKS and nothing new is happening. It would sure be nice to do something easier than cut and paste links for a day at a time.

Fetching a category should not be too hard. Let's say you have one screen with links category, title, url and description, and another field for dmoz category. Then you click on submit and it imports those dmoz links of that category you specified into links category. For someone who knows, it should be less than 5 minutes. That is bad for those of us who don't know have to suffer.
