Default CoolSciFi.com -- Using vba CMPS, Gallery, & Links

There are still a few tweaks I want to make but I just installed the new style this morning and I'm eager to show it off.....

http://www.CoolScifi.com

vBadvanced products in use are CMPS, Gallery, and Links. There are a number of other 'hacks' but except for ibProArcade they are all behind-the-scenes type stuff (automatic new user PM, ArticleBot, etc.).

Thanks,

Thanks for the feedback, guys. When the designer (Nicholas from ForumSkin.com) delivered the final package yesterday I was like I kid at Christmas finding a shiny bike under the tree.

That is an outstanding looking site! I really like your menu system, both above (the graphic menu) and the links on the left.

How long did it take him to complete the design?

Jester, thanks! The graphics were done by ForumSkin.com and then the modules are mostly collaborative efforts by people on this site. The navigation is a deviation of a menu system that somebody posted here, the random arcade is a re-write I did of Chuckies (he did the original version for v3Arcade and I updated mine for ibProArcade), and the random Gallery was by me but with Brian pointing me in the right direction along the way. It's one of the reasons why I tend to hang out here.... always some type of group effort going on to come up with new things.

Actually, I'm not sure! Apparently Nicholas was working on the style named Steel Rubber for a different client and for one reason or another that deal didn't complete. He then put the style on the open market and I was lucky enough to be in the right spot at the right time. I'm not sure if there is a contact email on his web sites yet so if you're interested in tracking him down you can reach on theadminzone.com as Nicholas. On a personal level, he is one of the nicest people to work with.

I need to track down that mod for the navigation. It is something that I would love to add to my community. Great stuff.

I've sent him an email based on the link to his site. Looking forward to hearing back from him. His work is some of the best I have seen as it relates to VB.
