Default VB Navbar showing "Forum" selected on CMPS homepage

Hi all -

Just updated from 3.8.6 to 4.0.8. Installed the latest vBa 4.0.1.

vBa is at www.cal24.com/index2.php
forums are at www.cal24.com/forums/index.php

Almost everything is working, but the problem is that when I am on the vBa page (index2.php), the navbar has "Forum" selected, even though it's not on the forums page. I'd like the "Home" to be selected at that point, as that's the page it's on.

vba screenshot.jpg

CMPS URL in vBa options is: http://www.cal24.com/index2.php

enable navbar is: yes

Forums home page is set to "index" and the file was renamed from forum.php to index.php within /forums

the original /forums/index.php has been renamed to index_OLD.php to the vB CMS doesn't show up at all.

I was wondering the same thing. How do we make the tab that displays vba be active vs. the forum tab?

In the meantime I just messed with the tab backgrounds and fonts to make them identical whether selected or not, so it looks reasonable now (but sacrifices that color change functionality).

*sigh* common problem, just a lil bit of searching would find you...

AdminCP-> vba cmps drop down-> Default Settings-> Style Options-> Enable Navbar tab -Yes

Yup, that setting has been enabled the whole time (screenshot attached). FWIW, I searched page after page after page of threads in troubleshooting, with many threads somehow touching on the navbar, yet none of them seem to be experiencing the problem I'm seeing.

The navbar is showing up on the vba page, it's just not behaving as expected (or desired).

odd ok hmm. Are you running any other sort of tab module?

Only thing I can think of is a conflict with another mod...

Looks like we can do this:

AdminCP -> vbA CMPS -> Edit Pages -> Edit -> Under Main Options -> Add Navbar link and set to where you want it.

But then you'll have two "Home" options... anyone know how to edit the navbar in the Style Manager to remove the default "Home"?

Heya Stalkster.

Well done on getting the "home" nav tab to display and be highlighted etc - this was very helpful for me.

In return, here is how to turn off your "second" "home" nav tab:

Go to Plugins & Products > Plugin Manager > Product: vBulletin CMS > Navbar: Insert CMS Navbar Entry
Plugin is Active: NO
SAVE
