Need some help please

Ok what I am trying to do is prob simple but in a few days of searching I can find anything to help me. The site is here http://www.purebredpuppy.com.au/ What I want is 2 columns where the forum posts are so the forum posts will be to the left with another block on the right of them for a recent article that will update to the latest one (a tid bit of it then link to full article) then a random gallery photos like I have on the forums http://www.purebredpuppy.com.au/forums any help will be much appreciated.
