Default Installed With Problems

I have installed the CMPS software and it seems to be there and has a spot in the admin cp but its not working properly. All of the links are dead and the images have a red "X" in a box. I can access the admin cp and forum by going directly to the forums section of my site. Is there anything I did wrong?

Kremerov,

For the graphics, you'll need to update your graphics with their full URL.
Quote:
Step 1 - Admin CP Modifications
Go to your Style Manager under "Styles & Templates" in your Admin CP. Choose to modify All Style Options. On this page, you will see a section for "Image Paths". Here you must change the path for each image directory (Title Image, Button Images Folder, Miscellaneous Images Folder, etc) to the full path (ex - /forum/images or http://yoursite.com/forum/images).

You must do this for each of your styles, otherwise your images will not show up!
For the links, you'll need them to be update them to the full path to where the files are. For example, if the link is "memberlist.php" then try updating it to "$vboptions[bburl]/memberlist.php".

I have done that, but to no avail. If I pay for the install service will they be able to fix this?

Are you sure you used $vboptions[bburl] and not $vboptions[homeurl]?

If you are sure, then what value is in ACP --> vBulletin Options --> Site Name / URL / Contact Details --> Forum URL? My guess is, based upon your footer, that right now the value is blank. It should be http://www.clubinsider.net/forums.

There was no /forums in the url in my admin CP i edited. Everything is working, the links are fine. The last problem is: the only thing with the "x" is the pictures my header, any way to fix that?

Edit:

One more thing, there is nothing in the middle column, how would i go about adding content there.

To add content there you need to select a news forum

I had the same problem when I first installed vbadvanced CMPS

If you look at the properties of those red x's, you'll see the path of the image, this one for example
http://www.clubinsider.net/forums/xt...eader/left.gif on the forum page
Look at the same image properties on the homepage, it looks like this
http://www.clubinsider.net/xtreem_v2/header/left.gif

Notice it is looking in the wrong place.

What I'd suggest is manually setting all Image Paths to the full url

So instead of this
images/buttons
it should look like this
http://yoursite.com/forums/images/buttons

with in the xtreem_v2 style you have installed the image paths will be like this
http://yoursite.com/forums/xtreem_v2/images/buttons

Every style that is installed into different folders which is basically all of them, need this done.

Edit

Tell the vba CMPS which forum to use for News

HTH

So far so good, I know what the final problem is. Where do I edit the image paths for the homepage? I have tried it through style options it seems to be fine, it only changes it for the main forums... how do I change paths for the home page?

That's in a different spot. Try.....

ACP --> vBulletin Options --> Thread Display Options (showthread) --> Show Default Post Icon

The images in your header and footer are hardcoded. Try going into your "header" template and look for any references to "<img src=..." tags. Then changes those to be "<img src=$vboptions[bburl]/..."

For example, the current header code of:
Code:
<td width="1" align="left" valign="top"><img src="xtreem_v2/forumtable/topleft.gif" width="13" height="12"></td>
 <td><img src="xtreem_v2/forumtable/topbackground.gif" width="1" height="12"></td>
 <td width="1" align="right" valign="top"><img src="xtreem_v2/forumtable/topright.gif" width="11" height="12"></td>
... would instead be:
Code:
<td width="1" align="left" valign="top"><img src="$vboptions[bburl]/xtreem_v2/forumtable/topleft.gif" width="13" height="12"></td>
 <td><img src="$vboptions[bburl]/xtreem_v2/forumtable/topbackground.gif" width="1" height="12"></td>
 <td width="1" align="right" valign="top"><img src="$vboptions[bburl]/xtreem_v2/forumtable/topright.gif" width="11" height="12"></td>
