Default showthread.php width error

I edited the showthread.php on my forums to allow the left hand blocks to show up and the second I do that it bumps the message and the quick reply box down in size about 10 pixels from the size of the Thread Options menu.

You can see an example here,

Any idea how to fix it?

As a guest I don't see the same elements on the page.
Not sure if I understood what you said, are you referring to your threadbit (starting at "Today, 11:50 AM") being slightly smaller than the full column width?

Yes, that is what I'm talking about. When you remove the left hand block from showthread.php, the message post lines up with the full column width, like it does on this forum where everything lines up.

That's strange... That shouldn't happen because CMPS wraps the page away above the threadbit.
That padding is caused by a spacer_open that's in the SHOWTHREAD or the threadbit template of your current style.
Can you please undo the CMPS integration in showthread.php so that I can compare html sources?

Contact me via ICQ when you are online and I can turn off the CMPS for a minute so you can check the HTML. My number is #670842.

It looks like you got this fixed? I am having the same problem, can you shed any light on the solution?

Look in your SHOWTHREAD template for $spacer_open and $spacer_close and remove those.

Hi Brian,
Thanks for all your hard work. I am having the same issue on my forum and I did remove $spacer_open and close. It is still smaller than the toolbar. Would you please take a look here to see for yourself ?

That page doesn't appear to be integrated with the CMPS, and guests cannot see the quick reply box...
