Attached images + thumbnails

The thumbnail conversion of attachments works only when the user is logged in. Otherwise it shows up as a attached file... I want certain people to be able to upload images to the news area and it to be displayed to all anonymous users who see the vbadvanced portion of the site?

I went to forum permissions and allowed non-reg/unreg people to veiw--still nothing.

Is it possible?

I got it... you have to allow download of attachments by unreg/not logged in users.
