Random Banner ads - affiliate programs

This isn't anything I came up with per se, but I thought it might be helpful to anyone wanting to add random banners to their header. All apologies if it is a repost.

1) Get this script:

Upload it to a folder on your site, I use a folder called adserve, and I'll use it in this example.

2) Place this code in your header template:

</iframe>

AFTER This code:

Now that the nav buttons are in the
navbar template, you can stick whatever

This makes it much easier for novice
admins to customize their header
template without affecting important

Per the instructions with the script, place a text file name ads.txt in whatever directory your randomad.php script is in. This file can be edited with notepad, vi, dosedit or whatever, and the html for EACH banner code is one line of the file, no matter how many characters long it is. (I have some really long HTML in some of mine).

Works like a dream, and changing your ads is as simple as editing a text file and re-uploading it.

Hope this helps someone - I come here for help, just trying to give back a little.I tried some more complicated solutions but this is easy and easy to maintain.

* The path I gave as an example is relative to the root web directory, not /forum. Depending on your layout, fluid or static, you may have to place the iframe code in a cell aligned right.

I am getting "not Found" where the image should be - any suggestions? This sounds like it is exactly what I need!
