Default Upgrade

This may sound a stupid question, but as a bit of a novice, I want to clarify this before I do it

Am I correct in saying the files I need to over right on my server are the ones contained in the folders, ie admncp etc from the vBadvanecd Zip?

I do not need to reapply the file modifications? just do the above and run upgrade.

To me it does not make this clear in the read me file.

If you're upgrading your version of the CMPS then you just follow the instructions in the readme about upgrading. If you're upgrading vB, then you need to reapply all file changes.

The "readme" file tell you to overight your files and then run the upgrade, what I asked is which files?

THIS IS NOT A CLEAR SET OF INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU ARE A NOVICE.

I know that if I upgrade vB you apply the file modifications.

To upgrade from vBadvanced CMPS v1.0.0, vRC1, or vRC2 simply upload the new files over your existing ones (with the exception of your cmps_index.php file). Then go to http://yoursite.com/forum/admincp/vbacmps_install.php in your browser and select the option to upgrade.
Looks pretty straight forward to me...

Forget it!

I can read!!!!!!!, but that statement does NOT say WHICH files to over write,WERE to find them, or WHAT they are called, it does say which one not to do!

Besides, it will sound straight forward to the person that wrote it! it seems that you expect everyone that uses your programme to be an expert, not a novice like me, we all have to learn! and that is what I am trying to do.

So I have made the "sad" decision not to bother with the upgrade, or use any "future" vBadvanced programmes, I was concidering the gallery programme as this was my next project, but I will look elsewere for this now.

This is not the first time I have had a total unhelpful response from this site.

You upload all of the files in the package that you downloaded. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like it's pretty much common sense when it says to replace all files with the new ones. Out of the thousands of users who have the CMPS, you're the first one that's ever posted a problem with not being able to figure that out, so I don't think it is just me.
