ported the arcade news hack

This is a port of the arcade news block to work under CMPS

There are 2 templates and 1 new module

Add the new templates, upload the arcadenews.php into your module directory and then set up a new module using the uploaded module and put the 2 templates in the template cache.

This is based on the prior arcade news hack and I take no credit for any of the code.

It works with the latest version of the v3arcade hack. It basically displays the news box from the arcade page. Install's of new games, people who recently have gotten the highest score in a game.

Look at http://www.heartsongctr.com/vbulletin if you want to see what it looks like. I have it as a block on the left hand side.

i think it'll be great to change or make another block so that it will generate a random arcade game link along with a thumb of the game so more users will know which games are avail

So I have a newbie question, lol.
How do I install this block?

I know what to do with adv_portal_arcade
But I'm not to sure what to do with the arcade_advancebit

nice block, is it possible to make the name of the user an active link that will send them to that user's profile? or is this just too complex?

On my portalpage the box is shown but its empty.
There are News and Event in my Arcadeportal but they're not included to the front portal page.

It's hard to tell without knowing what you did.

Did you add the 2 templates.

Did you set up the module with just a module name, template left blank and then in templates used with adv_portal_arcade and adv_arcadebit. Should work if you did that.

Ok, I'm impatient, lol. Anybody know how to get the Arcade News to display the "X Hour(s) ago" (like cLord has on whoox.com) instead of "Today" that seems to come default with it?
