Default logging in probs

hi

have installed V2 and its great but the login box is always cleared as if im not logged in and when i log in it says "thank-you you are now logging in" etc but then it takes you back to the main portal page and it doesnt achknowledge that your logged in cos the log in bits still blank although it shows im online via "whos online"

any one know how i can fix this problem?
