A lot of install problems but now only view permissions denied

So I tried the install.
I did everything right from the readme.
im using version 3.0.0 of vb

I go to install and it gives me a bunch of database errors like:

adv_modules already exists
adv_pages already exists

even more fields in different tables such as:

languages
phrases
datalocator

So i went deleting each and it would keep coming up with more.
so I just ran the other ones like reload tables, phrases, etc
and when i tried to install again it said it was already installed.

so wow, i guess it worked right?

I got into admincp and created a page and added news.php mod. permissions set to everyone.

but not able to view front page. No permissions. I searched and did a few things that I saw brian suggest, but no cigar.

I havent changed anything on the admincp of vb, just the vba settings

Check these 2 things...Check to see if your NEws file is set to allow everyone to view it...if it is all things being equal ...are any of the usergroups custom created?
If they are delete it and alter a default group. I am not sure why But I have had issues with custom groups doing the same thing.

If you are getting tables already exist and your install is messed up, maybe trying runnning an uninstall script then attempting to reinstall again

seemed my whole setup was screwed. I installed vb all over and the vba install went correctly this time.
