error when placing cmps_index.php in root dir

hi there, i would like to ask for some help with this problem i have.

i have installed the board and the vbadvanced cms twice now and i still get the same problem.

everything i placed in the /forum folder and only the "cmps_index.php" file i placed in the root and i get this error:

Warning: chdir(): No such file or directory (errno 2) in /home/rocomau/public_html/cmps_index.php on line 22

Warning: main(./global.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/rocomau/public_html/cmps_index.php on line 35

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required './global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/rocomau/public_html/cmps_index.php on line 35

when i place the cmps_index.php file in the /forum folder too (and comment out the full path within the file) it works. can someone please help me here.?

Did you change the chdir ?

yes i did. i even followed the instructions to get the right full path incase i was wrong.

My forums are in /forum/ and my cmps_index.php (which I renamed index.php) is in my root.

I have:
chdir('./forum');

and it works for me.

thank you, that works. i really appreciate it.

(my chdir was alot longer than that.)
