vBadvanced Links Directory
Introduction
vBadvanced Links Directory allows you to quickly setup and easily maintain an advanced directory of links that's completely integrated with your vBulletin forums. Features include unlimited categories, sub-categories, user comments, ratings, reciprocal link checking, custom fields, user favorites, e-mail subscriptions, SEO friendly URLs, and much more! With over 100 configuration settings and 35 usergroup permission options, most every aspect can be enabled or disabled through your Admin CP.

  • vBulletin Integration - Of course vBadvanced Links Directory is completely integrated with and built around vBulletin, using it's styles, template system, user registration system, and everything else you would expect.
  • Settings - With over 100 settings, just about every aspect of the software is easy to customize to fit your needs.
  • Usergroup Permissions - Over 35 different permission settings that can be set on a per-usergroup basis, giving you control of what each usergroup is allowed to do. Most of these permission settings can be changed on a per-category basis as well.
  • Custom Fields - Different types of custom fields (textarea, text input, radio, select, and checkbox choices) may be added to collect and display any additional information that you would like about links being submitted. Custom fields may also be enabled/disabled on a per-category basis.
  • What's New - What's New section allowing your members to easily find links/replies posted within the time periods specified via the Admin CP settings.
  • What's Popular - What's Popular section allowing your members to easily find the most popular links based on rating, views, and number of replies.
  • Inline Moderation - Similar to vBulletin's inline moderation system, members with moderator abilities can mass manage links and replies while browsing through the user side of the software. Abilities include deleting, opening/closing, un-/sticking, un-/approving, and moving links, as well as deleting, moving, and un-approving replies to links.
  • Link to Us - Included is an easy to manage "Link to Us" page where you can upload your own banners for other web sites to easily link back to your web site.
  • Reciprocal Link Verification - Reciprocal link checking allows you to either require or request that a reciprocal link be placed on the web site being submitted. This option can also be changed on a per-category basis, allowing you to require reciprocal links in some categories and not others.
  • Search Engine Optimization - Careful attention has gone into SEO for this product. In addition to strategically placed rel="nofollow" tags to help direct search engines, the product also offers Spider Friendly URL's using mod rewrite. By changing a setting and uploading a .htaccess file from the download package, you can easily change the URL's in your vBadvanced Links pages from looking like this:

  • AJAX Technology - AJAX technology used throughout, allowing your members to add links to their favorites, subscribe to links, rate links, and reply to links (via the Quick Reply box) using AJAX with no page reloading.
  • User Categories - Allow your users to create their own categories and, if you'd like, give them the ability to enable/disable viewing links, submitting links, rating links, and replying to links for other members in that category. Also includes options allowing the user to password protect the category and, if desired, give them moderator abilities for that category.
  • Moderation - Ability to moderate new links, posts, and categories submitted by users on a per-usergroup basis. You may also add moderators for each category allowing them to approve links and other abilities such as deleting links/posts, sticking links, closing links, and running status reports for the category(ies) they moderate.
  • Status Reports - Status reports which allow your admins and moderators to easily find and soft/permanently delete broken links or web sites that have removed your reciprocal link.
